Breast and Cervical Screenings
Deaconess-Waltham offers free mammograms, Pap smears, and clinical breast
exams to women through the state-funded Breast and Cervical Cancer Initiative.
Women who qualify for the program are those age 40 and over who are uninsured
or underinsured and not able to pay a deductible. Women under age 40 who
have a strong family history of breast cancer may also be eligible, as
well as women with a symptom and a doctor's referral. Program staff hopes
to provide these services to more than 500 women over the next year. For
more information or to schedule and appointment, call 781-647-6606.
