for Nursing Healthcare Leadership
The Institute for Nursing Healthcare Leadership (INHL) was founded
in October 1999 to provide a core structure for professional collaboration
in addressing critical issues challenging today's healthcare leaders.
The mission of The Institute for Nursing Healthcare Leadership is to increase
the participation of nurses in health services leadership and promote
excellence in policy, practice and education. Joyce C. Clifford, PhD,
RN , former senior vice president and nurse-in-chief at the Beth Israel
Deaconess Medical Center, is Executive Director of the INHL.

Joslin
Diabetes Center and the Joslin Clinic
CareGroup hospitals
have had a long and close relationship with Joslin Diabetes Center. This
relationship has become more formal, and now the Joslin Clinic leads the
diabetes treatment and education efforts throughout the CareGroup system.
This arrangement benefits CareGroup patients by offering access to the
broad spectrum of resources Joslin offers, including endocrinology/diabetology
for adults and children, ophthalmology, one-on-one and group diabetes
education, nutrition education, exercise physiology for diabetics, mental
health services, women's health services for diabetics, renal services,
a sexual function clinic, and other programs.

Mind/Body
Medical Institute
The Mind/Body Medical Institute is a non-profit scientific and educational
organization dedicated to promoting worldwide health and well-being. This
is accomplished through the study and advancement of mind/body medicine,
including the relaxation response and belief systems. Incorporated in
1988, the Mind/Body Medical Institute evolved from Dr. Herbert Benson's
pioneering work in mind/body medicine at Harvard Medical School and its
teaching hospitals. Research conducted at the Mind/Body Medical Institute
has been applied in successful clinical programs offered by the Division
of Behavioral Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in the
following areas: cardiac rehabilitation; cardiac risk reduction; infertility;
cancer; HIV/AIDS; perimenopause/menopause; chronic fatigue syndrome; and
medical risk reduction.

Provider
Service Network (PSN)
The Provider Service Network (PSN) is an organization dedicated to improving
the quality and value of healthcare. Through the PSN, organizations that
are affiliated with CareGroup have access to the resources they need to
make consistent clinical decisions, manage risk, and establish the systems
and programs that serve patients best. The PSN also serves to unite all
of CareGroup's hospitals, physician groups, and other affiliated organizations
so that they may negotiate managed care contracts as a single, large group
and set high standards for the entire CareGroup network. The Medical Service
Organization (MSO) provides administrative and other practice management
services to all members of the PSN.
